Reviewing your dog's documentation and health records

Once the destination requirements are confirmed, your dog's existing documentation is carefully reviewed.

This step includes checking:

  • Microchip identification
  • Travel passport or health records
  • Vaccination status and required treatments

If anything is missing or needs updating, you will be informed early to avoid delays later in the process.

Home visit and fit-to-travel assessment

A home visit is arranged to carry out a clinical examination in a calm and familiar environment.

During this visit:

  • Your dog is examined to assess fitness to travel
  • Required vaccinations or parasite treatments are administered, if necessary
  • Official veterinary health certificates are prepared

Animal welfare is always the priority. If travel is not advisable, this will be discussed openly and honestly.

Export certificate application and final approval

The final step is applying for the Export Health Certificate through the government veterinary system.

This includes:

  • Submission of the application through CEXGAN
  • Coordination of approvals and official documentation
  • Pick-up and delivery of the export certificate, when required

Once this step is completed, your dog is officially cleared to travel according to destination regulations.
